MOSFET driver for ultrasound

The MD1716 from Supertex is a three-channel logic controller with 12 low-impedance MOSFET gate drivers. When paired with a complementary MOSFET array, it forms a three channel, three level, high-voltage, high-speed, transmit pulser chipset for high resolution imaging in medical ultrasound applications. The chip has two separate gate drive voltage controls to minimise power consumption. It generates a three level waveform that is well suited for CW, PW and colour Doppler ultrasound imaging. The IC has ±2 ns matched delay times, a 10 ns propagation delay and a 6,5 ns rise and fall time with a 1 nF load. It is available in a 40-lead, RoHS cimpliant QFN package.
