all multi meters should be rechargable, love the bright clear display easily readable even for 77 yr old eyes and also love the needle sharp probes whish can easily pierce insulation for live measurement and the tips that have sturdy protection when not in use. 1 request FNIRSI please make it so that we can zero the ohms to cancel the the resistance of the lead probes.over all just a great instrument to own and use
