Overview

Nextion is a seamless Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution that provides a control and visualisation interface between a human and a process, machine, application or appliance. Nextion is mainly applied to IoT or consumer electronics field. It is the best solution to replace the traditional LCD and LED Nixie tube. With the Nextion Editor software (Official Download), users are able to create and design their own interfaces for Nextion display.

The Nextion Enhanced series are more powerful compared to the Nextion Basic series. In addition to a faster MCU clock, the Enhanced series support: built-in RTC, 1K EEPROM for user data, 8 digital GPIO, larger Flash capacity, and more RAM (for models 3.5″ and higher).

Nextion 4832K 3.5

I was very surprised that this module was available from Communica here in RSA. I have previously imported both the F and the T models at great expense on Amazon in the US. My order , well priced, arrived promptly and the module was integrated into my Pi Star DMR hotspot and is working great. I love the touch screen facility. My only problem is with the model number printed on the Nextion PCB as it ends in -011 and does not contain the important letter to indicate whether it has a touch screen or not. After some research I found out that the missing letter should be : ‘N’ for No Touch , ‘R’ for Resistive Touch and I guess ‘C’ for Capacitive Touch . Communica , please keep up the good work and bring us these components at reasonable prices. Regards , Pierre.
