The Arduino Leonardo is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega32u4. It has 20 digital input / output (7 of which can be used as PWM outputs and 12 analog inputs), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a micro USB connector, power connector, an ICSP header, and a reset button. The card contains all the components of which the microcontroller needs to function; simply connect it to your computer via a USB cable or power it with a AC adapter (AC / DC) or with a battery pack to be ready to go.

The Leonardo differs from all the other cards that have preceded it, in that the ATMEGA32U4 has already inside the portion of the USB communication, this eliminates the need of a secondary microcontroller. In addition, once connected to the computer allows the Leonardo to be recognized as a mouse or a keyboard, as well as permanently to emulate a serial port (CDC) / COM port.

This item corresponds to the version of Leonardo with pre-assembled connectors (female connectors on the legs, the ICSP connector and the power connector).
