Static Mat are a unique tri-layer construction. The top layer and the bottom layer are durable antistatic PVC. The semi-conductive top layer provide adequate discharging of near conductors. But prevents shorting of pin on the back of back of printed circuit boards when they are laid on the surface of the mat. The foamed static dissipative layer on the middle provides an extra messure of cushioning protection and skid resistance. There is no danger of adhesive migration to the surface, even after extended use. And the mat can be cleaned with detergent, and resists many chemicals and solvents, including solder flux. Static dissipation properties of the material are not humidity dependent will self- extinguish itself during department of transportation flammability test.
