The Inline HDMI surge protector offers protection to HDMI devices such as HDTV, PlayStation, HDPVR etc. against Cable Discharge, Eletrostatic Discharge and Lightning/Surge. The unit simply gets plugged into the HDMI socket of the equipment being protected and the HDMI cable plugs directly into the unit. Its use is to protect expensive HDMI installations as well as keep your equipment operational during bad weather. This is an excellent device to protect against static shocks, surges, and lightning strikes. The device has many circuits and components to protect every HDMI cable from surge. The Surge Protector has a micro-HDMI Port (Type D) and Standard HDMI Port (Type A) output to devices from source or from HDTV. The Standard HDMI (Type A) port +5Vpower can supply 5V, 0.5A power to backend HDMI devices.
