The water flow through these is so poor, they are unusable even for small irrigation setups. I even tried using them on half the sprinklers that I used to have in a zone, but the flow even then is less than a third of what it used to be.
Both Communica and Sonoff state that they can be used for irrigation, and Sonoff states on their website that the water flow rate will only be affected "slightly".
This is not true, as it is less than a 1/4 of what it used to be at the specified operating pressure (0.06-0.8mpa). I tried all three valves that I brought, and its the same for all.
There is no spec given on actual max. flow rate, only on operating pressure, thus a fair assumption is that the pressure will be "slightly less", not less than 1/4!
I installed one in a feed to my jojo tank, and it now takes more than 4 times to fill the tank. This is from a borehole pump, so the pressure is excellent. Same pump I feed my irrigation from.
I requested to return these for a refund, as they are not usable as advertised (to use for irrigation), and the statement made by Sonoff on affecting the flow rate is is completely false.
Hoping to hear back from Communica soon, as I also sent this info through to Customer Support
